Is it a bobcat?

Not sure if you have a bobcat in your back yard? Identifying a bobcat (especially a bobkitten!) can be very difficult. Check out our identifying a bobcat page to see if you have a bobcat on your hands.

Bobcat Sampson's Profile Photo

Status:Male Bobcat - Released

Age:9 year(s), 5 month(s)

Sampson came to us on 08/29/08 and was brought to us by .

Sampson was found as an orphan, and brought to In-Sync Exotic Animal Park in Wylie, Tx. The folks at In-Sync knew that raising a wild bobcat was VERY different from the wonderful work they do with abused/neglected, unwanted, and confiscated exotic cats.

Keeping the "wild" in a wild bobcat can be a challenge. In-Sync volunteers called us to see if we could help. Sampson was picked up within 24 hours and brought to NBRR where he stayed for eight months.

The In-Sync volunteers played a huge part in his rehabilitation, coming out to the ranch to help out for the duration of his stay when they had free time. Sampson returned to the wild in November. He was REALLY ready to go!!
