Is it a bobcat?

Not sure if you have a bobcat in your back yard? Identifying a bobcat (especially a bobkitten!) can be very difficult. Check out our identifying a bobcat page to see if you have a bobcat on your hands.

Bobcat Pixie's Profile Photo

Status:Female Bobcat - Captive Raised, Permanent Resident

Age:6 year(s), 4 month(s)

Pixie came to us on 08/30/11 and was brought to us by a private individual who was kept as a pet.

Pixie was discovered durring excavations for a new stock tank when her den was squashed. The people who found her thought she would be like a domestic kitten, and that at 8 weeks of age, they could release her and she would do fine. When they learned bobcat kits take up to 11 months, they did the right thing and contacted a wildife rehabber.

She ended up with us. Severely imprinted, and fed the wrong formula, for the first week, we feared the KMR had done it's damage, and that she was blind.
